A large conglomerate of companies with a focus on the energy, engineering, infrastructure and financial services is now looking for a dedicated banking lawyer to join it's central legal team. Offering the best of both worlds, this in-house opportunity allows a junior to mid-level lending lawyer to continue working on banking transactions whilst gaining broader general commercial and corporate experience in a busy fast paced environment, supporting the wider group of companies. Specific banking matters will include acquisition finance, corporate lending, trade and receivables finance, general asset-based finance, leveraged finance and project finance. As well as running transactions you will be dealing with associated regulatory matters. You will operate as part of a strong, highly intelligent and inspirational legal department headed by a General Counsel from a banking law background. You will be expected to develop relationships within the business and will instruct external counsel and deal with the regulators as required.
This position offers excellent experience for the CV and career development is encouraged. Suitable candidates should be ambitious, academically very strong, and have trained at a top City law firm with around 2-7 years’ experience.
