Employment Law Locum

Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for an experienced employment locum on behalf of a busy local authority in the heart of the South West of England. The successful applicant will join a friendly and supportive legal team.

The role can be conducted mostly on a remote basis however adhoc attendance at Court will be required.

Duties will include:

Providing advice on a range of Employment Law matters including:

  • Disciplinary cases and addressing grievances
  • Whistleblowing
  • Equality Act implications in staffing issues
  • TUPE and policy development
  • Defending the Council in Employment Tribunal claims

Candidates will need to demonstrate a good working knowledge of some of these areas, be willing to learn new areas of law and to be able to provide fast paced legal advice on a range of legal topics.

Candidates will ideally have previous public sector experience however those from the private sector with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.
