Commercial Employment Associate

The Commercial Employment Team in Manchester is led by two partners. The remainder of the team is made up of one legal director, one senior legal assistant, one paralegal and a solicitor apprentice. The team operate collegiately and have weekly team and conduct weekly engagements to discuss recent developments and ongoing matters.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to synergise with all members of the team and for a spectrum of quality clients and work.

The role:

• Providing legal advice to a spectrum of clients, from company owners/managers, HR professionals, in-house lawyers, public and private sector organisations on a range of employment matters.
• Managing a mix of contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
• Build and maintain client relationships/contribute to business development
• Undertake all aspects of employment law including drafting various employment documents, maternity and paternity rights, discrimination, whistleblowing, employee relations issues, disciplinary matters and grievances, mediation, dismissals, redundancy, TUPE and employment tribunal claims.
