Legal Counsel - Data Protection

My client is a division a FTSE 100 PLC. A leading brand, they have experienced exponential growth over the last 18 months.

They now have need to recruit a Data Protection lawyer. This is an outstanding opportunity for a Data Protection lawyer to join the in-house legal function of one of the UK's most well-known businesses. The role will be responsible for advising stakeholders on compliance with all relevant data protection legislation.

Reporting into the Head of Legal, the role will support significant business initiatives in the organisation ensuring a forward-planning approach to the implementation of legal foundations in business operations including various policies and procedures, data protection impact assessments, data-sharing and data-processing agreements, data transfers and compliance projects. The role will also advise the business on how to maximise its use of personal data in marketing campaigns as well as managing data protection breaches and more complex DSAR's.

The successful candidate will be a qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5 years PQE (we will consider candidates with significantly more PQE) from either an in-house or private practice background with experience of working on complex data protection matters.

You will also be a skilled communicator and capable of interacting at all levels including executive management and non-executive directors.
