Sellick Partnership are delighted to be working with the London Borough of Hackney to help find an Adult Social Care Lawyer to join their progressive and welcoming team!

This is a lovely opportunity to join the well-regarded Hackney Council Legal Team on a permanent basis.

Hackney Council are looking for an Adult Social Care Lawyer with prior experience in the area of law, local authority experience is an added bonus but not a requirement if the Adult Social Care Lawyer has the relevant experience. The Adults Lawyer will be a qualified legal professional, i. solicitor, legal executive or barrister, with excellent communication skills and solutions focused.

The salary for this role is £51,567-£53,576 per year, grade PO7. A great salary range!

Hackney Council's Adult Social Care Lawyers advise on all aspects of law concerned with the protection of vulnerable adults. The team deals with challenging and high-profile cases. As well as handling a complex caseload of both contentious and non-contentious matters, the Adult Social Care Lawyer will assist the Senior Lawyer to supervise other lawyers and members of staff within the section and deputise as required. Matters will include:

  • Court of Protection
  • Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards
  • Mental Health
  • Ordinary Residence
  • Etc.

Hackney Council are currently offering flexible working arrangements, including both home-based and office working, amenable to whichever suits you best. Ad hoc office presence will be required but this is flexible.
