Leading US law firm, based in the heart of the City, is looking to hire a new Facilities Assistant – this position is an exciting opportunity to develop strong facilities management, administration and professional skills with a premier, global law firm.  This role is to work 5 days a week in the office on a 35 hour working week, with rotating weekly shifts of 7.30am – 3.30pm, 8.30am – 4.30pm, 11.00am – 7.00pm and 1.00pm – 9.00pm.  A salary of up to £25,000 is on offer plus fantastic benefits.

This integral role will act as the first point of contact on all facilities issues within the London office, including but not limited to, building maintenance, lighting, air-conditioning and.  Main duties will include being first point of contact on all facilities issues within the London office, including but not limited to, building maintenance, lighting, air-conditioning and security, conducting reprographic and document production tasks, ensuring that all jobs are completed to the required deadline and standards, to act as liaison with maintenance contractors to ensure that all facilities issues / repairs are carried out and dealt with in a timely fashion, conduct regular inspections to ensure that all facilities are properly maintained, operation of the Building Management System, coordinating the allocation of security passes, special access and deactivating passes of leavers, conducting office moves and changes ensuring all offices are set-up and prepared as required for internal moves, all new joiners and visitors, to ensure all equipment (e.g. photocopiers, franking machine shredders and binders, etc.) is maintained to a high standard, liaising with engineers to organise repairs, monitor budgets, expenses and all costs seeking approval where required, to take a lead to ensure all H&S signage and information is up to date and appropriately displayed (i.e. fire procedures, evacuation and assembly points) and report H&S issues to the Operations & Facilities Manager and/or Facilities Supervisor on a regular basis. 

This varied and dynamic role is all about being an organised team player with a sharp attention to detail and problem solving skills.  Applicants need to have at least 6+ months experience of working in a facilities department from a law firm.  Our client has a fully vaccinated from Covid-19 policy, therefore only candidates who are fully vaccinated can be considered for this role.
