Senior Residential Conveyancer
Location : Leeds
Salary guide : 30,000 - £38,000 DOE
An experienced conveyancing Legal Assistant is required for a fantastic Pontefract based opportunity with a highly regarded High street law firm. Applications are invited from Residential Conveyancers looking for an opportunity to utilise their skills and move their careers on in a supportive working environment.
Salary is up to £38K dependant on experience.
The successful Conveyancer will be qualified as a Solicitor, CILEx or CLC and/or have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Conveyancing Fee earner within a busy regional or high street firm.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Conveyancer who wants to further develop their skills, whilst managing a full caseload of both lease hold and free hold Sales and Purchases. Some New build and Shared ownership experience will be desirable but isn’t essential. The ideal candidate will be technically skilled and have an expert understanding of the Conveyancing process from start to finish.

- Deliver excellent client care
- Able to thrive in a time pressure, busy environment
- Knowledgeable of both free hold and leasehold transactions
- To liaise with clients regularly to update them as to the progress of their matter and the associated costs
- To respond in an appropriate manner to client instructions
- To deal with incoming post efficiently
- Carrying out Title Checks
- Progressing new build transactions and keeping within the 28-day exchange deadline
- Submit help to buy applications
- To keep informed and updated on conveyancing developments
- Assist the team as required
- Review work is undertaken by Conveyancing Administrators
- Assist with delivering training to Conveyancers and Conveyancing Administrators
- Excellent at communicating, computer savvy and familiar with Case Management systems to log and progress files.
