Catastrophic Injury Senior Associate - 4 PQE + - fixed term contract - 12 months
Catastrophic Injury / Large Loss Senior Associate - 12-month FTC - Manchester
Catastrophic Injury Senior Associate - Leading Manchester catastrophic injury / large loss team looking for an experienced solicitor with complex multi-track and / or catastrophic experience to help provide maternity cover for 12 months. Given the difficulties traditionally associated in recruiting candidates in this area, the hiring manager is prepared to be as flexible as possible, so this could be an opportunity to gain some excellent large loss experience at a top international firm.
Summary and key requirements
- Job Title: Senior Associate
- Location: Manchester
- Salary: £50,000 - £60,000
- Reports to: Partner
- Previous Experience: Applicants need to be experienced with 4 years PQE or more. Ideally they should have previous experience of serious injury or catastrophic injury, though the hiring manager is prepared to consider those with lower level multi-track.
High-quality, technical large loss work
This team only deals with complex, high-value work from a range of blue-chip insurance clients and a small number of corporates.
Claims are mostly £1m+ and require someone with the right experience to help progress matters with the support of the Partner and other experienced fee earners.
While the successful candidate will be by no means left to their own devices, the team do require someone with the necessary experience and exposure to be able to manage and maintain key relationships with clients.
Opportunity to take a step up for those with multi track experience
While the hiring manager does require someone with the requisite level of PQE, they are willing to look at a broader range of experience than would normally be the case.
Expect fantastic quality of work with full support of team
Any large loss or catastrophic injury experience would be ideal though applications are also encouraged from those with lower level multi track experience.
The hiring manager is looking for someone who is confident to manage files with support and has the right skills in terms of client care.
