Commercial Litigation/Dispute Resolution/Insolvency Lawyer – leading offshore law firm - Cayman Islands.

This multi-jurisdictional firm advises on some of the highest-profile and most complex cross-border disputes in the offshore world. Its Cayman office is among the market leaders, fielding an impressive team with expertise in all aspects of commercial, financial services and insolvency disputes. As the business goes from strength to strength, it is looking for two experienced Commercial Litigation/Dispute Resolution lawyers (solicitor or barrister) to add further strength in depth to the practice. A minimum of three years' pqe is required (for work permit reasons) but more senior applicants, including those at Counsel level, are encouraged to get in touch.

You will have lots of opportunities to take on leadership responsibility, both in managing cases and in developing client relationships, and all lawyers are encouraged to play an active part in business development. It is the ideal firm for an ambitious lawyer looking to maintain a fast career trajectory whilst benefitting from a wholly different lifestyle outside of work. Admission in the UK or equivalent Commonwealth jurisdiction (Australia/New Zealand/Canada) is essential.

The Cayman Islands

A world-class international financial centre, Grand Cayman offers lawyers the opportunity to do high-quality and complex work that compares favourably with that in a leading onshore law firm. Teams tend to be smaller, so responsibility and client contact come as standard, with many ex-pat lawyers citing the unique working environment and culture as a significant advantage. Outside of work, the climate lends itself to an outdoors lifestyle whether that be diving, sailing, relaxing on the beach or enjoying a bite to eat at a waterfront restaurant. Life here is good; rarely does anyone regret making the move.

Process

Interviews will take place by videoconference with start dates typically around six months later. Our clients provide comprehensive assistance with visas and relocation, including temporary accommodation and car hire on arrival.
