Locum Planning Lawyer – Central London – On going contract – Remote Working offered

Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently working with a busy Local Authority in Central London, who are known for their excellent quality of work, who are recruiting for a Locum Planning Lawyer to join their department.

This is a full-time assignment (whilst part-time hours can also be considered) and will be offered on an ongoing contract, minimum 6 months and extended every 6 months thereafter, and with the option to be worked on a remote basis. The client is considering office presence in the future however if this is not possible, this can be discussed with the client. They are keen to secure the right candidate and are willing to be flexible if necessary.

This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Planning Lawyer with prior experience of planning at various levels from simple section 106s to complex developments, to become part of a proactive Local Authority with a great reputation. This is an opportunity to join an excellent team, that rarely recruit.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within or on behalf of Local Government or extensively handling planning law, and it is essential that the successful candidate:

• Can advise both internal and external clients on a range of planning and local government matters
• Can handle appeals against refusal of planning permission
• Can provide legal advice and attend legal planning meetings
• Can negotiated and advise on planning and highways agreements including section 106s
