Assistant Company Secretary Job - Bristol - Hybrid Working Available

Your new company
This highly successful and rapidly growing company work with a range of top clients. They are currently looking for an Assistant Company Secretary to join their Bristol office. This is a great opportunity to further develop your skills and give yourself a new challenge. The role offers the opportunity to help establish and develop new systems and processes, working closely with the legal and commercial teams to ensure full compliance with all applicable regulations. Hybrid working is available however as this role is based in Bristol it is anticipated that you will live within commutable distance of the office.

Your new role
As Assistant Company Secretary, you will take responsibility for day-to-day company secretarial support functions, working closely with the Group Company Secretary and other team members to maintain an efficient and professional company secretariat function across the Group. The preparation of papers, minutes, agendas and board packs will be an integral part of the role. You will also work on:

  • Company secretarial management of a portfolio of 100% owned, third party and joint venture projects.
  • Use of Blueprint OneWorld to maintain statutory registers.
  • Preparation and filing of documents with Companies House to comply with statutory requirements.
  • Preparation and issue of loan note documents and maintenance of loan note registers.
  • Planning of board meetings which includes liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and schedule board and shareholder meetings including liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Attending to queries that arise within the Group relating to Company Secretariat issues using Blueprint, SharePoint and paper records.
  • Maintaining awareness and knowledge of changes within Company law.


What you'll need to succeed
You will have previous company secretarial experience and excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office suite. You might be ICSA qualified, or you might be part-qualified/studying. You should have extensive minute taking experience and good working knowledge of the Companies Act 2006. Excellent communication and organisation skills and being a team player is also vitally important to this role.
