Rapidly expanding telecoms company with extensive operations throughout Europe requires a Regulatory lawyer who will be office based for 3 days per week with the other 2 being home based. Reporting to The Head of Legal, you will play a key role in the development of the company and work directly with senior management committees.

Key responsibilities include:

Manage the regulatory policy strategy of the company in close coordination with UK management and the Corporation.
Provide intelligence supervision in strategic regulatory discussions, including spectrum issues, and accompaniment of the Management team in the decision making process.
Be the focal point for mid & long-term regulatory discussions, providing an overview of the current and future regulatory framework for the Company.
Monitor and supervise information from relevant bodies, participating on public consultations, studies, market reviews, etc. to anticipate regulatory risks.
Review and proactively manage the company's legislative compliance, liaising closely with the relevant business units and reporting quarterly to UK management team on risks and strategies for removal or mitigation of potential for breach. This will include all telecoms related legislation and wider corporate compliance such as data protection.
MAIN FUNCTIONS
- Analysis & report on regulatory relevant issues for the company, assessing possible impacts
- Analysis & report on spectrum relevant issues for the company, assessing possible impacts
- Coordination & participation of responses to public consultations, market reviews, preparation of commercial offers and recommendations
- Participate on the defence of the Company's position regarding policies related to regulation
- Build and manage the influence of the brand in UK regulatory forums participating on strategic discussions strengthening the position and influence of the group
- Influence the decisions of sectoral bodies that can contribute to the overall strategy of the group
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Demonstrable 3 years of experience on regulatory issues in the UK (experience & knowledge in other countries will be recognised)
- Experience working with regulatory authorities, policy makers or associations
- Demonstrable 3 years of experience in due diligence of company's legislative compliance and proactive management of risk
- Valuable Experience: Spectrum management
- Relevant Sector: Multinational companies, telecommunications, infrastructures, policy makers, regulators and associations
