A fantastic US law firm is looking to hire a new Business Development Manager to join the growing London office on a permanent basis to provide reactive and proactive support to all Associates and Partners for the EMEA region, focusing on research and identifying opportunities for promoting and cross-selling strategies including developing customised pitches and presentations. This role will be working within a team of 8 and will offer a generous salary and benefits package.
Responsibilities for this role will include recommend and develop concise and actionable business development and marketing plans, with underlying budget recommendations., collaborate across practice groups to promote cross-sharing ideas, make recommendations to practice group leaders on a broad range of business development and marketing strategies, demonstrating understanding of practice group and industry norms, terms, and business procedures, keep abreast of developments in the law for assigned groups and relevant industries that could result in expanded or new client opportunities, etc. develop proactive responses to advance business development, deploy Marketing Initiatives.. implement business development and marketing plans for assigned practice groups, ensuring that projects are effectively communicated and managed within budget. Other duties include drafting and maintaining creative practice group marketing materials, including practice group descriptions, attorney bios, and content for the website, conducting competitive intelligence and research of prospective targets, industries, markets, and conflicts via firmwide resources, participating in completing timely submissions to directories and ranking authorities; ensure rankings in preferred publications, such as Chambers & Partners, are maximised, producing client development seminars, collaborating closely with practice groups.
Candidates need to be educated at degree level, with extensive business development/marketing experience within a professional services organisation, preferably within a law firm. Candidates need to have strong knowledge of core marketing principals, including campaign management client relationship management, pitch best practice, event best practice and use of social media platforms. Candidates must have excellent written, organisational and communication skills.
