My client is a leading light in private and corporate immigration work, with cutting edge IT, and a very 'go ahead' approach to providing high quality legal services to its client base, which has already resulted in Chambers and Legal 500 rankings. As part of its on-going growth and development programme, the firm is seeking to recruit a business/corporate immigration specialist to provide advice to businesses seeking to sponsor skilled workers, professionals and high net worth individuals seeking to enter and settle in the UK based on business activities or investments.
The basic criteria for this role is that you would need at least 2 years' previous experience in immigration work and be comfortable with modern IT systems and the use of new technologies in providing legal solutions to your clients. Above and beyond this, the firm will be looking for someone who shares its core value of providing outstanding client care and legal excellence and has an open mind and willingness to embrace new and technology based solutions to providing this.
The caseload will comprise of corporate and business immigration matters, either referred from existing or previous clients or other law firms without the provision to offer corporate immigration services, concerning sponsorship (skilled workers and ICT applications), Tier 1 (entrepreneur) extensions and settlement, innovator and start up applications and sole representatives of overseas businesses. Tier 1 (Investor) knowledge would be beneficial.
The role is Nottingham-based, and you would need to have capacity to spend frequent time in the office; however, the firm's client base is national and you would therefore be able to carry out much of your work remotely.
