Interim Legal Manager

Your new company
An independent body, based in Birmingham, responsible for investigating complaints between consumers and their legal service providers. They currently have an need for a Legal Manager to join them for a minimum of three months.

Your new role
As the interim Legal Manager, you will be responsible for managing the legal team, and have a personal caseload conducting litigation on behalf of the organisation. You will oversee the work of the team and the service provided to support the effective delivery of the organisation and take a lead on dealing with any public/administrative law litigation. You will also provide advice to the organisation in their investigation and decision making roles, including advising on the wide range of law contained in complaints and arising from the processing of complaints and to support guidance and knowledge development in all these areas.

What you'll need to succeed

• A minimum of four years' post qualification experience
• Significant recent experience of advocacy and appearing in the civil courts.
• Knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules and civil litigation legal advice
• Proven experience working in county court and judicial review cases
• Experience of management and supervision of a small team of legal staff
• Drafting complex documentation
