Private Client Solicitor - Head of Department
Burgess Hill, West Sussex
An established Sussex High Street firm seek an experienced private client lawyer to take on the team management role, a very stable and consistent private client department. The firm welcome interest from individuals with existing management experience as well as those seeking to take the next step in their career, with full support of the directorship.
A full service high street legal practice with several offices across the Sussex region offering a friendly yet highly professional legal services to the individual and commercial client alike. With further growth through addition of further offices the firm are certainly heading in the right direction.
The current private client team consists of two established private client lawyers and a paralegal. The department deals in the main with a large amount of probate and estate administration work as well as some Wills and LPA work too, they have an excellent track record and continuous pipeline of work as a result of a broad client base across the Sussex region.
As the Head of Department , you would manage your own caseload of probate and estate administration work with some Wills and LPAs as well as provide technical advice and support to the rest of the team, You would also be required to run monthly team meetings as well as report in on monthly team meetings with the directorship of the firm itself.
The role would suit a very technically proficient private client lawyer, while prior management experience would be deemed very useful, the senior team would be happy to provide their full support to an individual who is able to display the right qualities and keen to take on management responsibilities. The role essentially requires a safe pair of hands, light touch management and an engaging personality who can promote an open, friendly and cohesive team environment with one eye on maintaining and organically growing the team over time.
Salary is commensurate with experience and further long term options for directorships are always a consideration for the right individual who is keen to generate further growth and success for the department.
