Casework Officer/Lawyer, London. We are currently recruiting to a full-time permanent position for an experienced Casework Officer to join an exceptional regulatory body in London. If you’re interested in flexible working either from home or in the office,

JOB TITLE: Casework Officer/Lawyer
LOCATION: London
SALARY: To £40,000
BENEFITS: Minimum of 3 days per week from home

THE ROLE:
A fiercely sought-after position has become available for a talented individual to work collaboratively with other team members to ensure that they provide a coherent approach to conducting regulatory investigations. The successful case officer will be a key member of this thriving team and will offer effective support towards our client’s business and strategic objectives.

You will be responsible for your own caseload in the investigations and enforcement processes, which will include any appeals arising. Whilst you will be responsible for your own cases you will also be expected to support the team in any subsequent litigations. This will require the successful candidate to be confident and have great attention to detail to ensure your day-to-day tasks are fulfilled. Typical duties will include –

• Taking responsibility for the investigation of potential breaches of codes of conduct
• Ensuring that decisions are consistent and reflect the agreed decision-making criteria, regulations, policies and procedures
• Identify, raise and act in relation to issues arising from the work including submitting written reports where appropriate
• Liaise and assist with the conduct of litigation arising from issues related to the work of the team
• Take individual regulatory decisions on enforcement and discipline matters as appropriate

THE CANDIDATE:
Our client is currently looking for a Casework Officer/Lawyer with a positive and flexible approach to their work, and with the commitment of delivering the highest of standards. It is likely that you will be a Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive, or alternatively extremely experienced in regulatory and legal investigations. Your experience is likely to have been gained within a regulatory body, private practice regulatory team, or perhaps a related area such as criminal law or civil litigation. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in providing services direct to the public, alongside experience in analysing and summarising lengthy documents in order to help the dealings with investigations. It is also essential that the successful candidate demonstrates initiative and is self-motivated to allow them to work independently whilst adapting to differing priorities.
