Commercial Legal Counsel – Leading brokerage firm

Our client, a London-based brokerage firm that specializes in the retail trade of CFDs, financial spread betting, and digital assets is looking to hire a commercial lawyer to handle and work on a variety of contractual and transactional matters.

The Role

• Broadly commercial in scope, the candidate will support the business with a range of commercial contracts and agreements, as well as supporting the legal team with various regulatory and transactional matters.
• Will draft, review and negotiate various contracts, including terms of business, outsourcing agreements, vendor agreements, IT contracts, facility arrangements, and prime brokerage agreements.
• Assist with advice on regulatory matters, including with GDPR, regulatory compliance, and due diligence on various ventures. Also advising the business on any upcoming developments to the legal or regulatory landscape.
• Assist the team’s global offices with a range of matters.

The Ideal Candidate

• Must be a qualified lawyer, ideally in the UK or common law jurisdiction.
• Must have strong practical experience handling a variety of commercial contracts.
• Ideally has some experience working within financial services, whether In-House or whilst in Private Practice.
• Ideally has at least 3 years’ Post Qualification Experience, but this is not essential.
