Senior Professional Support Lawyer - Contentious Construction - Birmingham

The firm and the role:

- Leading international law firm
- Leading construction team in the Midlands and nationally
- Challenging alternative career away from fee earning
- Providing legal and technical support to all fee earners
- Delivering training and know-how to the team and clients
- Writing articles, developing podcasts, producing tweets etc
- Horizon scanning and helping with business development initiatives
- Working closely with the team's partners on business development strategies requiring technical input
- Heading the team's thought leadership programme
- Reviewing and updating the team's precedent bank and know-how database
- You could work on a full time, part time of flexible basis

The candidate:

- 8+ years PQE in contentious construction
- Comprehensive knowledge of the CPR and other procedural guidelines
- Excellent drafting skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage enthusiastically with people at all levels within the business and externally
- Experience working at a national or international law firm
- Experience as a Professional Support Lawyer is desirable but by no means essential
- If you don't have prior experience as Professional Support Lawyer you must have a genuine interest in moving away from traditional fee earning role
- Strong interest in black letter law and an attention to detail
- A keen interest in delivering training and business development
