Our client, a leading financial institution based in London, is looking to hire a contentious regulatory lawyer for a 6-month contract role.
The Role:
- To assist the legal team in dealing with investigations and enforcement actions by the regulator.
- To prepare documents and assist with disclosure during these processes, and to participate in internal investigations.
- Provide general advice to the business with regards to a host of regulatory and financial crime topics, including Market Abuse, insider Trading, Money Laundering, Regulatory Breaches, Bribery & Corruption, FCPA, Corporate Fraud, and others.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Must be a qualified lawyer, with at least 3 years’ experience working within financial disputes or regulatory law.
- Ideally has some experience working in contentious regulatory law, practical experience with investigations would be a real plus.
- MUST have experience within financial services, whether that be In-House or within private practice.
- Must have strong drafting and negotiating skills. Excellent communication and team-working skills are essential.
This role offers hybrid working, and is initially a 6-month engagement.
