Paralegal required for the clinical negligence department for a leading Central Manchester law firm.


Your new company
This is a rapidly growing, progressive, and market leading law firm with offices in Manchester, London and Liverpool. The firm are known for building excellent teams in a wide range of legal areas including banking, corporate, real estate, family, will/probate and employment. The position has been created due to an increasing workload and the onboarding of new clients.

Your new role
This is a paralegal position within the firms clinical negligence department, which is an award winning, reputable team that have a broad client base and a high quality of work. As a clinical negligence paralegal, your typical roles and responsibilities would be:

  • To carry out administrative tasks as necessary eg. maintenance of databases, recording time accurately, etc.
  • To assist in case based tasks including obtaining informal expert opinions to assess the viability of cases.
  • To obtain disclosure of medical records and other case related documentation
  • To prepare instructions to medical experts and counsel
  • To prepare witness statements
  • To assist solicitors in their conduct of clinical negligence cases


What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered for this position, it is essential that you have a solid understanding of clinical negligence cases/matters. Because of this, it is preferred if you have worked in clinical negligence or personal injury as a paralegal previously. It is essential that you have completed the LLB receiving a minimum 2:1 grade, and working toward/having the LPC is beneficial.

The salary for this role is entirely dependant on your previous experiences and clinical negligence knowledge. The firm are operating on a semi-hybrid policy, and you would be expected to be in the office approx 4 days per week.
