An outstanding opportunity is being offered by a reputable local Authority in the Home Counties offering a Locum role for a Childcare Lawyer to join a friendly team as soon as possible on a part time basis of 3 months with the view for extension. This role will be working in a small team and you will be working alongside another team member as part of a job share.
The successful Childcare Lawyer will be co-working with the other lawyers on a caseload of care proceedings and pre proceeding matters. You will be required to attend PLO meetings which will be remote and you will be required to draft documentation.
There is paralegal support in the team also; they tend to instruct counsel on advocacy and as this is a part time role, it would only require casework.
Our client is ideally looking for someone to undertake 2 days so that there is a cross over period with the other lawyer in post however we would be happy to consider candidates seeking 2 - 2 days per week.
Candidates available on short notice or those who can work this opportunity alongside another part time role are strongly encouraged to apply.
We are happy to consider candidates at all levels of experience and those from either a public or private sector background but must have previous experience of case handling.
If you are interested, please apply immediately to be considered for short-listing. Alternatively, should you require further information or wish to discuss your suitability before applying, please do not hesitate to contact Chelsey Newsom in our Manchester office for a confidential discussion.
