In-House Lawyer
London | 5+ PQE
A lawyer with extensive experience is being sought for an In-House Lawyer role based in London. Joining the In-House Legal team, the successful candidate will advise on a variety of matters. The In-House Lawyer is needed on a full-time, permanent basis.
About the Role
The In-House Lawyer has the following responsibilities:
- Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating client related contracts, such as engagement terms, master services agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and release letters.
- Acting as a trusted advisor to the company’s Partners and client teams, as well as the IT, HR, administration, finance, and business development teams.
- Supervising and developing junior lawyers within the team.
- Advising on the legal framework and associated risks of new business lines.
- Drafting the contractual documentation for the provision of modelling and analytics tools to clients.
- Advising on data protection law.
- Reviewing, drafting, and advising on commercial contracts with suppliers, including for IT services and software licence and support agreements.
- Offering advice on a range of miscellaneous legal, risk, and compliance matters affecting the company.
Candidate Profile
Ideally, candidates should have the following experience and attributes:
- A minimum of 5 years’ PQE.
- Refined negotiation skills and extensive experience advising on and negotiating commercial contracts.
- Proficient in the fields of intellectual property and data protection law.
- Strong business acumen coupled with a commercial and practical approach.
- Ability to influence and gain trust at the most senior levels in the business.
- Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent communication skills.
