Legal Cashier

Grimsby

An opportunity has arisen for a committed and enthusiastic Legal Cashier to join a Legal 500 firm. The firm, which is based in Grimsby, is seeking a Legal Cashier that can join their Finance Department on a full-time, permanent basis.

Job Profile

The successful Legal Cashier will have the following responsibilities:

  • Undertaking daily banking functions, including bank reconciliations.
  • Processing client and office accounting transactions, including postings and payment productions.
  • Processing bank transfers, as well as automatic and manual payment runs via online banking.
  • Coding and inputting of purchase invoices to appropriate budget headings.
  • VAT administration and returns.
  • Process travel and other expenses.
  • Ad-hoc reporting, as required.
  • The administration and reconciliation of petty cash.
  • Anti-Money Laundering checks and ID processing.
  • Dealing with enquiries from fee-earners, support staff, and clients

Candidate Profile

To be considered for this role, the following experience and skills are needed:

  • Experience in a previous Legal Cashier role is essential.
  • Knowledge of the various aforementioned responsibilities.
  • Specific legal accounts experience.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • A Legal Cashiering qualification and knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules are both highly desirable.
