Property Damage Solicitor / Solicitor - The property damage team of this leading national firm is recruiting at various levels for strong litigators to work on a range of complex property damage matters for key clients. Claims involve everything from escapes to land and contamination as a result of chemical spills to water damage and fire damage resulting from explosions or other disasters. Cases often result in multi-million-pound claims and can involve numerous parties.

Overview of position

  • Job title: Solicitor or Legal Executive (multiple roles at various levels)

  • Reports to: Partner
  • Previous Experience: Robust litigators wanted. Candidates with a commercial insurance background or commercial litigation background are strongly encouraged to apply. This role would also suit applicants with litigation experience in other areas such as debt recovery.

Cut your teeth on range of commercial insurance work

The nature and size of these claims means that fee earners often collaborate across the firm's national network. This is a relatively new team who have already established a strong position in the market advising on highly-complex property damage matters.

Recent matters included a large agrochemical claim and a multi-million-pound construction related dispute involving a number of contractors and subcontractors. This is an exciting area of commercial insurance litigation and you will be at the heart of a busy department at the cutting edge of this area of complex subrogation.

Other areas of commercial insurance litigation

The team also advise on the intricacies of insurance policy coverage and often advise insurers when bringing new product to market. They also provide ongoing training to clients through regular seminars and updates to stay at the forefront of key developments in the law.
