A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Contract Lawyer/ Senior Contract Lawyer within the South East of England at a unique organisation that spans across three offices. This organisation prides itself on being the market leader for providing to public sector bodies and are seeking a Contract Lawyer to join their team on a basis of 3 months with the view for extension.

The organisation are offering fully remote working and both full and part time candidates will be considered.

The successful client will be able to provide a range of public sector clients with a high quality and professional legal service regarding to contracts, procurement, trading and corporate law.

Daily tasks for the Commercial Contracts Lawyer would include;

  • Routine and complex contract and procurement matters
  • Construction and service works contracts
  • Joint ventures and joint procurement in relation to children and adult services
  • Procurement challenges
  • Preparing, negotiating and advising on all aspects relating to legal projects
  • Advising and negotiating Contractual agreements
  • Reviewing and managing all current contracts to comply with GDPR
  • Supporting the principal lawyer in managing the strategic and operational delivery of the commercial team

A Contracts Lawyer with local authority experience is highly preferable, however our client is willing to consider contract and procurement lawyers from private practice backgrounds with transferable skills. Our client is happy to consider candidates who are newly qualified through to more experienced candidates and can tailor the work to meet this.

The role will be a hybrid working arrangement and you will have the opportunity to choose to work from 1 of 3 offices - Northampton, Cambridge and Bedfordshire.
