Our client is a prestigious London law firm – they are now looking to recruit a Project Manager to join on an initial 6-month fixed term contract.

Your role will be to deliver every project on time within budget and scope. You will have a background in business skills, management, budgeting and analysis.

Their hours are 9.30am – 5.30pm. The salary on offer is up to £80,000 + Benefits. This role is a 6-month FTC. You will be expected to be in their offices 2 or 3 days a week (flexibility where required).

Your responsibilities as a Project Manager will include:

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Manage the relationships with all stakeholders
  • Perform risk management
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Prepare reports for senior management

Requirements as a Project Manager include:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager/Project Officer
  • Ideally you will have experience of working within a law firm
  • Thorough understanding of project management techniques and methods
  • Outstanding leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical staff
  • Proven track record of delivering multimillion pound programmes to time, cost and quality controls
  • Prince II / PMQ / PMP certification essential
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office; working knowledge of program/project management software (Basecamp, MS Project etc.)
