A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Construction lawyer to join the UK legal team of a globally integrated real estate and investment group, responsible for projects of cultural and social significance such as: construction of the Sydney Opera House, creating the National September 11 Memorial & Museum in New York, and restoring and renovating historic buildings such as London's Tate Britain and National Theatre. As they continue to deliver urbanisation projects and critical infrastructure that generate social, environmental and economic value, this role will be invaluable in ensuring the Construction and wider legal teams fully support the delivery of the Europe Region strategy.

Reporting to the Head of Legal (Construction) you will provide strategic legal support on significant transactions for the European business including the reviewing and negotiation of main contract terms (JCT, NEC3, NEC4, FIDIC) as well as managing and coordinating contentious matters when required. Working closely with other internal functions, you will ensure that transactions are delivered in an efficient and effective manner, playing a commercial and strategic role providing legal support on the full life-cycle of development projects, advising on risk and bidding's whilst demonstrating an understanding of upstream documents, business unit strategy and resourcing requirements.

Ideally, you will be 7+ PQE with strong post-qualification experience in a top tier law firm and/or as an in-house counsel (in a medium to large real estate business). Experience in major urban regeneration projects and/or large-scale residential and commercial development (specifically for public government bodies) would be desirable. The ideal candidate will have a strong project management skill set, will be confident in negotiations and be able to demonstrate a commercial and strategic way of thinking.

This role will be hugely rewarding, providing you the opportunity to have a considerable impact on the success of the business, as long as you have the desire to lead and assist. A great opportunity to progress your in-house legal career, if this role sounds of interest to you please get in touch ASAP.
