In-house Property Counsel

Expanding retailer with over 600 stores nationwide is seeking to recruit an in-house commercial property lawyer.

Reporting to the General Counsel and working within the Estates Team, you will play a key role in the business and have interactions with the CEO.

This is a predominantly non-contentious role with the primary element of the role being to help the estates team around lease renewals and landlord & tenant matters.

The successful candidate will be a minimum of 4 years PQE from either a private practice or in-house background and have demonstrable experience of negotiating new leases. Some contentious experience is desirable, but not mandatory. The leases are typically standard institutional FRI leases of 10 years for retail premises on retail parks. Above all, you will have the ability to work both independently and autonomously in fast-paced environment with the ability to build strong working relationships.

Flexible working is on offer and it is anticipated there will be a need to be in the office 3 days per week
