Your new role
Within this role, you will support the business in the provision and management of corporate services across the Group, maintaining systems and processes to ensure that good governance is embedded throughout the organisation. Your duties will include providing full secretarial support to the organisation's Boards and Sub-Committees including producing agendas, collation and distribution of Board papers and taking minutes. You will also advise on relevant and impending changes in legislation, liaise with external contacts, as well as identifying audit services both internally and externally. This role also carries line management responsibilities for the Executive Assistant and Office Manager, and you will maintain an efficient executive support, administration and office management service.
What you will need to succeed
You will have demonstrable corporate governance/company secretary experience, be educated to degree level and have managerial experience within a similar environment. Having a Company Secretary Qualification and experience in facilities management is not essential but would be considered an advantage to this role. Knowledge, understanding and experience of statutory legislation in relation to board and committee meetings, minute taking, integrated governance, board planning, business planning and risk management are necessary; attention to detail, excellent communication and IT skills are also important.
