Our client, a mid-sized high street firm with over fifty employees, is seeking to appoint a senior private client solicitor due to succession planning. The current Head of Department is looking to retire within the next 18 months, and as such they are seeking a private client solicitor with at least 8 years’ PQE to join them with a view to taking over the Head of Department role in the short-term future.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly experienced private client solicitor who is able to deal with the full range of private client matters, to include wills, LPAs, administration of estates etc. The department is currently made up of the Head of Department, another fee earner and secretarial support. Your position would slot in underneath the current head until you take over that position. You will have your own office and access to secretarial support.
The firm offers a relaxed and friendly atmosphere in an environment where you are not pushed for fees. Targets are reasonable and achievable, and there is plenty of work to go at initially without requiring marketing and business development. However, if you are keen to grow and expand the department, marketing/networking is welcomed.
