One of our well-established UK based Law Firms is currently seeking to recruit a new Legal Secretary into their reputable and busy Residential Property department on a permanent but part-time basis. The focus of this role will be to support Senior Associates, Associates and Trainees. Candidates with experience in family and/or residential and rural property would be desirable.
Main duties for this role will include but are not limited to:
- Proactively and accurately monitor/oversee inboxes, calendars and diaries on behalf of fee earners. As well as prepare, edit and proofread all work, adhere to house-style with attention to detail and a focus on quality
- Work closely and effectively with Executive Assistants, central teams and in collaboration with other Legal Secretaries, providing support in cases of holidays and absences
- Respond to tasks promptly and manage deadlines, to ensure expectations are managed
- Be an effective and professional point of contact, to include managing telephone calls, taking accurate messages and being an ambassador both internally and externally for team
- Manage billing, compliance and expenses processes on behalf of the team, to include generating bills, working closely with, and supporting, Client Administrators where necessary to ensure billing/CMI processes are followed correctly in accordance with requirements
- Demonstrate confidentiality, diplomacy and a thorough understanding of the group and clients who you support
Candidates must be strong team workers, able to follow direction when required and work well of their own initiative. Candidates must also have proven experience working in a legal Secretary or Legal PA style role in a professional services or legal environment. Advanced knowledge of various MS software programs and minimum typing speed of at least 60wpm is also a requirement for this role. Standard working hours for this role are 8.30am – 6pm on a shift basis, working 7 hours a day 3 days a week. This role is paying a salary of up to £35,000 FTE.
