Commercial Litigation Paralegal

Experienced Commercial Litigation Paralegal required for a leading South-Manchester based law firm.

This commercial litigation paralegal role is situated in a large, South Manchester based law firm. The firm are well known for having a strong client base, and provide legal solutions for both individuals and businesses across the North West. The firm specialise in both commercial and corporate based law, and also have large departments in personal injury, employment and wills and probate. This position has opened up due to the firm taking on new clients and requiring to grow their commercial litigation team.

Your new role
As a commercial litigation paralegal, you will be positioned within the firms commercial litigation team and assist fee earners and other paralegals in their day-to-day handling of cases. Other typical roles and responsibilities would include:

• Conduct tasks under the supervision of other fee earners on behalf of clients accurately and reliably.
• Work on and draft court documents and bundles accurately.
• Deal with new commercial litigation enquiries as they arise and pass over to the relevant members of the team.
• When appropriate, deputise for fee earners when they are absent, such as by taking calls or passing urgent issues over to colleagues.
• Provide routine updates to clients and make chasing telephone calls, letters and emails to speed up the service delivery.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered for this position, you must have gained 12 months+ experience as a commercial litigation paralegal. Having the LLB degree is essential, and having the LPC is desirable. As this position is likely to lead to a training contract, it is important that you have a desire to qualify as a commercial litigation solicitor.
