This leading offshore law firm has multiple international offices spanning the major financial centres. They continue to grow in the Cayman Islands, adding strength in depth to what is already one of the leading corporate practices in the offshore market. The team advises major international banks, corporates, and financial institutions on the Cayman law aspects of high-value international corporate transactions.

You will be joining an outstanding team, advising on international M&A, private equity, investment funds, capital markets and general corporate transactions. It is interesting work, juggling multiple matters, making this ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced and varied practice. Most lawyers moving from a big onshore firm will see a noticeable increase in responsibility and client contact, making it ideal for someone who enjoys the technical challenge of the law but who also relishes the more commercial side of the job. You will be encouraged to develop your network of contacts and be supported in building the skills necessary for your career to progress.

Requirements

The firm is looking for Commonwealth (UK/Australia/NZ) qualified lawyers, most likely to be in the range of three to eight years’ pqe (with at least three years’ pqe required as a minimum for a work permit). You will have high-end corporate experience, whether generalist or specialising in one of the areas outlined above, gained with a leading City/International or equivalent law firm.

Process

Interviews are via videoconference and can usually be scheduled to fit around your working day. If successful we would anticipate a start date approximately 6 months from application.
