Who are we looking for? 

We are looking for strong Senior Associate / Partner level Corporate & Commercial Lawyers.

Ability to support an entirely offshore (EMEA / APAC) corporate & commercial practice from your home anywhere in the UK / Europe.   

Experience derived in common law jurisdictions essential.  International experience (EMEA / APAC) not unhelpful.

Familiar working with senior execs and client teams at leading MNCs.

Must be able to lead and have others want to work with you (e.g. junior lawyers / clients).

Ability to supervise lawyers based in Singapore, UK and UAE.

Ability to manage time zones essential – that’s part of it.

Specifics 

We need people who can lead major transactions / projects for large global corporates. 

Main work types for Corporate support need: - M&A, SPA, SHA, SSA, JV's, ESOPs, Startup funding. - Typical transactions sizes (e.g. - large clients - US$100M+++ / smaller clients ($5M+). Main work types for Commercial support need:

• logistics & supply chain, large scale procurement
• services agreements
• operator agreements (hotel, resorts, airports, etc)
• outsourcing, managed services, service level agreements
• most routine commercial agreements

You will need to attend to the needs of start-ups with as much diligence as a FTSE 500 as you will be supporting both. 

Support the GLS business through the provision of legal solutions to GLS clients globally across a range of matters encompassing traditional advisory and the provision of new-law solutions.

Supervise associates, legal assistants, paralegals, interns etc.  

Mentor and encourage the professional development of less experienced members of the GLS team.

Location & Travel(s) 

You can work from home from anywhere that you may be.  Our head office / global HQ is located in Singapore and we have operations in EMEA. This practice exclusively supports offshore clients.  There may be travel opportunities (Middle East / Asia) for those that want it – travel restrictions permitting. Thank you for your interest.
