Our market-leading utilities client has an excellent opportunity for a commercial lawyer to join their dynamic in-house legal team in a regulatory role, reporting directly to the Head of Legal.

An exciting time to join this thriving legal team during a time of significant positive change. The timing of this opening provides the opportunity to be part of this journey in ensuring a collaborative and dynamic working environment.

As a key member of the legal team you will support the business on a broad variety of regulatory and legal matters driven by business need. A fully supported role, the regulatory element will include drafting and reviewing strategic plans and submissions to regulatory authorities, responding to regulatory enquiries, and help shaping the long-term regulatory strategy of the Company whilst working in close collaboration with the Director of Regulation. General legal matters will involve supporting the business on queries such as metering, pipe ownership, unauthorised connections, environmental permits, supply issues, water quality, billing issues, self-lay and developer services, handling legal disputes with customers and resellers and general day-to-day legal queries.

You may currently be working in private practice or in-house and will have experience of working within a regulated sector, preferably with a water or energy utility. Should you find this initial brief of interest and wish to gain further insight please contact Claire Sharp at Mack Legal.

Please note that this assignment is being handled exclusively by Mack Legal and all direct or third party applications will be forwarded to Mack Legal for consideration.
