In house Legal Counsel

Superb in-house legal counsel opportunity (from NQ) with a fast expanding UK healthcare business based in their London office.

The Role

The client is looking to recruit a legal counsel (from NQ) to join their existing legal team (currently comprising of two lawyers and a paralegal).

The business is fast growing by acquisition and therefore the role will involve working closely with the acquisition team and external lawyers as well as the opportunity to work on a varied caseload providing legal support across the business. The role will include (as well as working on other legal matters):

• Supporting and advising on corporate acquisitions as the business looks to grow further by acquisition which will include instructing and managing the business’ outside counsel;
• Providing legal support to the business including advising on, reviewing, drafting and negotiating a range of commercial contracts;
• Dealing with GDPR/ Data protection matters;
• Advising on HR matters;
• Advising on potential disputes; and
• Providing legal training and helping maintain the business’ precedents.

Ideally, the candidate will have in house legal experience as well as corporate/ commercial, real estate and some contentious legal experience. 

Salary guidance of up to circa £70,000.
