Top Tier, National, law firm is actively seeking to recruit a talented and ambitious Associate Solicitor due to continued expansion.

The firm's clients range from some of the world's largest insurers to innovative insurtech start-ups but our approach remains the same: to provide clear, commercial and practical commercial, regulatory and transactional advice and solutions for our clients.

The highly rated Insurance Commercial, Regulatory and Transactions team sits in our Corporate group and is at the heart of our wider cross-firm insurance sector, regulatory and technology pillars. The team advises insurance sector clients on a broad range of commercial, regulatory and transactional matters, working on many exciting and cutting-edge advisory mandates, commercial deals and transactions.
The Role
The role involves supporting an exciting range of insurance sector clients, including:

UK and international (re)insurers (general insurance and life)
Lloyd's (re)insurers
Insurance brokers and MGAs
Insurance sector start-ups and Insurtechs
Management teams
Private equity and other investors into the insurance sector


The Candidate

The firm is looking to hire two associates, one at around 2-4 PQE and another at around 4-6 PQE. Each will have a commercial approach to negotiations and resolving issues and experience across some or all of the following:

Insurance focussed commercial matters, including insurance distribution and administration arrangements such as delegated authorities, TOBAs, appointed representative, introducer, affinity and claims handling/third party administration agreements

Regulatory advisory mandates, including advice to insurance sector clients on the application of the FCA and PRA rules and Lloyd's requirements

Reinsurance agreements

Policy wordings

Part VII insurance business transfers

Regulatory and internal investigations and reviews

Structuring transactions, business structures and commercial arrangements

Insurance Linked Securities

You will typically have an opportunity to work on a selection of the above as well as providing insurance regulatory support to their market-leading corporate insurance transactions team. You will enjoy exposure to a mix of insurance-focussed commercial, regulatory and transactional work
