Interim Senior Legal Counsel (Full or Part-Time) – Hybrid Working

Household name Plc seeks to recruit either a commercial, construction or data protection lawyer to assist the commercial team of a large legal department.

Our client seeks an experienced lawyer to support their legal team across a variety of project and operational legal advice.

Responsibilities

The legal team currently support the business across a broad range of commercial and construction legal advice, some very complex. Your workload would therefore be scoped to your legal experience and could include any of the following:

• General commercial contracting: T&Cs, consultancy, procurement, supply, software, telecoms hosting, IT outsourcing
• Construction and engineering law and construction projects
• Construction and Commercial disputes
• Data protection and GDPR

We are looking for:

• An experienced qualified solicitor or barrister (UK) with at least 3 years PQE*
• Well regarded law firm or inhouse experience, preferably worked within a similar sector (infrastructure/construction/utilities/engineering environment)
• Significant law experience in some of the above specialist areas
• Self sufficient and able to hit the ground running
• Strong interpersonal, commercial and team skills
• Confident and able to work with senior management
• Experience supporting, training and developing junior lawyers

Our client operates a hybrid model of working and is happy with home working and occasional office presence. They will consider PAYE on a FTC or employing through an umbrella company.
