Our client
Our client, a leading International Law Firm based in the US, is seeking a Senior Paralegal to join its International Arbitration team in London.
The role
- Provide a high quality legal service to all clients
- Manage transactions from start to finish, including due diligence and structuring exercises, preparing and negotiating key transaction documents and coordinating closing
- Provide strategic corporate advice as required and co-ordinate advice from relevant overseas jurisdictions
- Attend and represent the Firm at client meetings as required
- Develop and maintain good client relationship skills, gaining clients’ confidence and that of other professionals
- Contribute to departmental precedents and know-how, including participation in relevant training sessions
- Input and participate in pitch/panel presentations
- Identify hot topics and support business development initiatives (including client presentations, webinars, social medial strategy)
- Desire to be proactively involved in business development and marketing with a view to handling networking and client contact from the outset
- Commitment to excellent client service
The Requirements
The ideal candidate will have some (if not all) of the following characteristics and skills:
- An England & Wales qualified lawyer with at least 3 years’ post qualification experience with relevant experience in a well-regarded City firm
- Experience of LMA Lender side documents for investment grade, leveraged, real estate or project finance transactions is essential
- Experience of borrower side investment grade, leveraged, real estate finance or corporate lending transactions, is desirable
- Very good understanding of English law security is essential
- Intercreditor experience is expected
- Ability to demonstrate a high degree of sector knowledge and commercial awareness
- Excellent verbal and written communication and drafting skills
- Self-confident, proactive, pragmatic approach to tasks and projects
- Highly enthusiastic and self-motivated
- Ability to interact and build relationships with people at all levels
- Ability to work well in both a team and individually
- Ability to interact and build relationships with people at all levels
