In-house Commercial Solicitor (1-4 PQE): Leeds/Hybrid

As part of a highly collegiate team, this role will involve the successful candidate providing support to an experienced in-house legal team with commercial contracts matters. This vacancy will be of particular interest to commercial lawyers who have experience of advising and working within the areas of Data Protection/GDPR, IT Contracts and Contracts for the Supply of Goods and Services.

More specifically, the successful candidate's responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

• Providing tailored commercial legal advice on various contractual agreements.
• Reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements (term, framework and outsourced models, whether UK specific or part of wider global structures) in relation to a wide range of products and services.
• Maintaining corporate governance and policy regarding the approval of contracts (global &/or regional).
• Helping to develop templates and guidance notes for use in order to promote self-serve and reduce demand.

Included within this role will be the requirement to also advise on data protection / privacy and will include, but will not be limited to:

• Advising on obligations for data controllers and processors with regard to GDPR & DPA 2018.
• Providing data protection contracting support in the on-boarding and reassessment of suppliers.
• Supporting the production, review and reporting of DPIAs, DSAR responses and other GDPR focused compliance activities.

In order to be considered for this role, you must be a qualified commercial solicitor. My client is also open to hybrid working arrangements and would be ideal for a candidate looking for a good work/life balance. This role is a full-time role, however for an exceptional candidate my client may consider someone looking to work on a 4-day basis.
