Healthcare Advisory Solicitor / Associate – This is an outstanding opportunity for a newly qualified solicitor who is looking to develop a career in healthcare advisory work at a major national ‘top tier’ law firm. The firm will also consider candidates with more PQE. Moreover, applicants who can demonstrate a clear and keen interest in this area without necessarily having healthcare experience will also be considered. For example, retrain opportunities have been offered to strong candidates who have a solid background in EL/PL or Disease work, for example, coupled with a strong interest in healthcare work.
NQ Healthcare Advisory Solicitor - Overview

- Previous Experience: NQ+ - ideally experience in inquests and investigations. Patient welfare and experience of dealing with healthcare cases involving patients with mental incapacity. Court of Protection experience would also be useful. The team is also willing to consider candidates who can demonstrate a clear interest and passion for this area of law.

The successful candidate will start by working with a Partner within the team, assisting them on high-profile inquest work with a view to building your own caseload. You will also provide assistance on Court of Protection matters as well as other social care issues and matters in relation to the Mental Health Act.
This is an excellent team with an outstanding reputation in healthcare law. They advise a range of healthcare clients in the public and private sector. Work can range from Court of Protection matters to inquests and high-profile investigations. Many of the cases dealt with by the team are reported and the more experienced members of the team and the Partners are regarded as leaders in this field.
The department also undertakes other regulatory and advisory work affecting clients which is a constantly evolving area of law.
