Property Development Solicitor - Social Housing (London)

Wide ranging real estate development role with a well known housing brand and an opportunity for a property lawyer to extend their skill set into commercial work.

Our Client is a well-known housing association and one of the highest volume developers of residential units in the south east of the UK

Description

The role is broad in scope and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to get involved in an excellent range of work including:

• property development,
• acquisitions and disposals,
• landlord and tenant,
• planning agreements.

Our Client will also develop the candidate's skill set across construction, commercial contracts, finance, and the drafting policies and procedure.

Profile

The successful candidate will be a UK or Common Law qualified Lawyer (*at NQ+).

They will have sector/specialist knowledge & experience: Demonstrable experience of dealing with property law matters and at least two of the following:

• sale, purchase agreements and leases;
• development agreements;
• energy supply and concession agreements;
• construction contracts, collateral warranties and commercial contracts;
• deeds of easement wayleaves, utilities agreements and substation leases;
• section 106 planning agreements, wayleaves; s38/ s278 agreements;
• knowledge of the RP sector, Homes England/GLA funding agreements and property charging.

Please note, there is no expectation that the successful candidate would be able to cover all of those areas listed above from day one, but the list above gives a strong indication of the work on offer for a member of the this organisation's Legal Team.

* There is no maximum PQE for this role but the salary is likely to be attractive to lawyers at the junior end of the PQE scale.
