Excellent opportunity for an experienced, competent Costs Drafter to take on a purely remote working role within a leading national law firm dealing with a variety of cost issues.

This role has the option of being remote working for 4 days per week and working from either the firms central Bristol office one day per week; or permanent remote working with the potential for one in person meeting in the New Malden, Surrey area once per month.

The role will entail dealing with all areas of costs litigation, including dealing with higher value claims/complex claims or cases with technical disputes. You will manage a caseload of files, ensuring they meet SLAs, striving for efficiencies, and dealing with novel or technical issues as and when necessary together with advising on those issues where required.

You will need to have strong costs technical skills; be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines; be able to prioritise and be organised; be able to provide excellent customer service to case handlers; and work with minimal supervision. You will have a good working knowledge of the CPR and be able to advise clients on technical costs issues at all levels as well as support to colleagues.

In particular, the successful candidate will have a good knowledge of the costs budget rules and have at least two years' experience preparing and negotiating costs budgets in personal injury, civil or clinical negligence claims.
