Our client is recruiting for a file handler to assist a Partner within its strategic disease team, dealing with a mixture of high value multi-track short and long-tail disease claims, and advising on strategic projects. This is an exciting opportunity to gain exposure to excellent quality work in a technically challenging environment at a leading Legal 500 firm that has a strong national reputation and an established client base comprising major insurers and corporates.

You will be able to conduct investigations including interviewing witnesses and comply with case management and court directions. You will also be required to analyse liability and medical evidence, undertake quantum assessments and prepare client advices on strategy.

The successful applicant will be a solicitor, CILEx or fee earner with litigation experience and an interest in working in a team dedicated to providing quality technical advice. You will also have the ability to work with others and a keenness to develop your technical knowledge of disease claims. Excellent IT and analytical skills are essential for this role as is an ability to work under pressure, keep to deadlines and prioritise your own workload.
