Our client is a prestigious London law firm – they are now looking to recruit a Property Administrator to join their busy and expanding Rural and Residential Property team in London.

This role is to provide transactional and pre and post completion support to the fee earners, paralegals, legal assistants, secretaries, and executive assistants, working as part of a property administration team in their rural and residential property departments as required.

The standard hours are 9.30am to 5.30pm. The salary on offer is £25,000 + Benefits. This role is a permanent position. You will be working in their office for 3 days a week, 2 from home (flexibility required).

Your responsibilities as a Property Administrator:

  • Take responsibility for the amendment, updating and scanning of engrossments (to include the binding or other 'finishing' of documents)
  • Save documents to the document management system and liaise with the reprographics department where required
  • Produce and update Excel Spread Sheets
  • Upload documents to data rooms
  • Take responsibility for submitting Land Registry applications to include UN1, RX1, SIM, priority searches and AP1
  • To follow up with the Land Registry with regard to any requisitions and to extend time required to register
  • Download Land Registry documentation from the portal
  • Draft Licence to Assign or Notice of Assignment & mortgage to Landlord, Stock Transfer Forms and liaising with managing agents to obtain information packs
  • Submit certificates of Title
  • Call Lenders to check bank details and ensure certificate of Title received in time for drawdown
  • Draft search requests and obtain quotes from search flow and X-press Legal for more complex matters
  • Finalise files, liaising with clients to return funds
  • Arrange for documents to scheduled and stored and sent to lenders or clients

Requirements as a Property Administrator:

  • Experience of working in a property/residential property department is essential
  • Ideally previous Administrative/Team Assistant experience gained from a Law firm
  • Excellent knowledge of Land Registry portal
  • Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent, including Maths and English
  • Competent on all MS Office packages
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to pick up new systems and procedures quickly
