Position overview
We are recruiting a Senior Legal Counsel to join their Global Legal Team and be responsible for providing legal and compliance support to the UK and Ireland operations.
This position is open to people on a permanent AND interim basis.
How you will contribute:
You will be responsible for delivery of legal, regulatory and compliance services. You will operate as a key business partner to provide strategic support and advice, working on a wide range of commercial and compliance matters including:
- Preparing and reviewing contracts and terms and conditions
- Supporting negotiations, preparing templates, providing claims support and overseeing litigations
- Helping to ensure compliance with applicable laws and Group policies
- Supporting local real estate matters and employment issues
- Providing training and facilitating compliance programs
Your profile
We are looking for someone who wants to work in an international company and has a proven track record operating in an in-house environment. You must be able to work proactively and closely with the business stakeholders, to identify and analyse critical business issues, and to apply legal expertise to deliver solutions.
You should have excellent legal and communication skills and be:
- A qualified UK solicitor with around 8 years' relevant PQE in commercial law, preferably with a background in Construction / Engineering.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal) with great technological skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, commercially minded, highly organised and able to work effectively in teams
- Able to work independently and manage large volumes of work
