Reporting to the Legal Director, the successful candidate will be part of a highly commercial and collaborative Legal team advising on all aspects of legal matters that affect the Group and its exciting and differentiated brands and product offerings.
Role responsibilities;
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts including agency agreements, purchasing contracts, IT contracts, charter agreements
- Drafting and reviewing general terms and conditions of sale;
- Providing advice on compliance with local consumer; marketing and other applicable laws;
- Identifying legal and commercial issues and providing legal advice and potential solutions to issues affecting the business;
- Helping to identify and implement improvements in work processes to improve consistency and efficiency
- Dealing with ad-hoc legal queries from the business units;
- Supporting the M&A team on corporate transactions;
- Managing a broad & extensive trademark portfolio (in conjunction with Line Manager and external Trademark attorney)
- Managing and instructing external lawyers;
Role requirements;
- UK qualified solicitor NQ+
- Experience in a commercial legal department whether in private practice or in-house
- Proactive, able to prioritise and manage a broad and fast-moving workload
- Ability to work independently and have credibility to advise and liaise at all levels of seniority within the business
- A strong communicator who is able to engage and build relationships with colleagues within the business
