Employment Lawyer ¦ High-end contentious employment work ¦ Outstanding professional opportunity with major lifestyle advantages ¦ Channel Islands.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced employment lawyer to advise a prestigious corporate client base on a range of largely contentious employment law matters. Joining the Guernsey office of one of the world's leading offshore law firms, you will work closely with Partners from Corporate and Litigation as well as in Employment, on disputes across the Channel Islands markets. There will be frequent travel to Jersey.
It is complex, important work, and you will be involved in every stage of a dispute from initial client contact, assessment and advice, through document preparation, negotiation and tribunal representation. You will also play a key part in developing client relationships, making it a perfect role for someone who is keen to build their network.
You will be a qualified solicitor or barrister and likely to have at least three years’ post-qualification experience, with a particular focus on advising employer clients on contentious employment law. More senior applicants are very welcome, as indeed are more junior lawyers who can demonstrate the necessary skillset. You will be a confident communicator with strong presentation skills. The right to work in the UK/Guernsey is a requirement.
The role comes with a competitive low-tax salary, full benefits and relocation assistance. Prospects for career development are excellent. Guernsey offers substantial lifestyle benefits, combining the attractions of a beautiful coastal environment, with the professional opportunities of a major world financial centre. It is an easy place to settle and is perhaps the best location in the world for combining high-end work, competitive salaries and sensible, sustainable work-life balance.
