In-House Junior Counsel - Global Manufacturer - West Midlands - Hybrid

Are you an junior lawyer, looking for a broad in-house commercial role to give you a huge amount of exposure to a variety of legal work ? If so, this business, which is a very prestigious brand and partner to the very biggest names in Automotive, will provide that in abundance.

Reporting into and learning directly from the Head of Legal, you will be tasked with:

· Drafting, advising and negotiating on B2B supplier and customer contracts, both in the UK and internationally;
· Advising the key stakeholders in the various different business units i. advising marketing on branding, sponsorship, promotions and events;
· Assisting on GDPR, company secretarial and general compliance/regulatory issues.
· Assisting on smaller pieces of litigation and property matters, and liaising with external counsel where required.

This role is most likely suitable for a newly qualified lawyer with the ability to think commercial and advise the business, who need your advice to be commercial and a facilitator to getting deals agreed. Ideally you will have had an in-house secondment within automotive, but this is not a pre-requisite.

The role will also suit a paralegal, who has experience in drafting and advising on B2B commercial contracts, interested in qualifying via Cilex or a qualified lawyer with good non-commercial training i. in Litigation, Corporate, Employment, Regulatory, Property or Construction, who is keen on a career in commercial law.

The business operates a hybrid working policy, meaning you can work 2/3 days from home per week.
